Salves: 1oz $6.00. All natural ingredients. these salves are full of herbs that moisturize, smooth and rejuvenate the skin, and may have healing properties. The herbs are sourced locally onsite at Spirit Farm from a combination of wild herbs and happy herbal plants growing in the garden.
Savvy Skin Balm
This salve is a combination of several herbs that are growing in the garden at Spirit Farm: Borage, Bee Balm, Plantain, Golden Rod, Lemon Balm, Calendula, white yarrow, and/or hops with properties that may assist with healing minor wounds, burns, bruises, insect bites, hydrate the skin, rash and itchy skin
Each of the herbs are dehydrated in our passive solar dehydrator and then infused in organic Sunflower and Olive Oils for 3-6 weeks. 20% Bees wax is added to solidly and complete the salve.
Each salve is typically a combination of 4-5 herbs and can change a little from month to months and year to year depending on the growth and availability of each herb at that time. The salve container is labeled according to the herbs that are found in that particular balm.
Desert Skin Balm
This salve is a combination of several local herbs that are growing wild in our desert environment at Spirit Farm: Cota, Sticky Weed (Grindelia), Birdsfoot Treefoil, Hairy Golden Aster, Plantain, Globe Mallow, Sagebrush, Rubber Rabbit Bush, Wild Amaranth and /or Three Leaf Sumac that may have properties that may assist with healing minor wounds, burns, bruises, insect bites, hydrate the skin, rash and itchy skin
Tone and Rejuvenate Skin
This salve is a combination of several herbs that are either growing in the garden at Spirit Farm or growing wild: Comfrey, Rubber Rabbit Bush, Lovage, Mint, Plantain, Common Mallow, Fernbush, borage, Hyssop and/or white yarrow with properties that may tighten, tone, hydrate and rejuvenate the skin.
Glowing Skin
This salve is a combination of three to four herbs that are found at Spirit Farm. Lovage is a perennial that is grown in our garden and one of the first herbs to emerge in early spring. Rubber Rabbit Bush grows in abundance naturally on the landscape around Spirit Farm. Hyssop and Borage are also grown at the farm.
Comfrey Salve
This salve contains properties that may assist with healing bruises, sore muscles and sprains: this salve is made solely from Comfrey. We plant comfrey in our garden and around fruit trees. While humans should not ingest comfrey with out the guidance of a professional, it is a favorite medicine plant for animals grazing at the farm
Radiant Balm
The main ingredient in this salve is from the wild Sagebrush. This species of sage is a wormwood artemisia and grows in such great abundance in our high desert environment. Golden Rod flower infused in oil is added as well. When available, we add peppers that are grown at Spirit farm, dehydrated, powdered and infused in oils. These peppers are a source of capsaicin. These herbs may assist with topical pain.
